Watch your server CPU from your Home Screen

Short answer: send your server CPU usage to WidgetDash with one HTTP request, then add the WidgetDash widget to your iPhone Home Screen or Lock Screen. It updates every time you push a new value, and it is free for up to 5 numbers.

When a box is about to fall over, you want to know before the pager goes off. A one-line read of CPU and load average from a cron job gives you a calm gauge that refreshes with your widget, or in real time with a Pro Live Activity. The widget is the cheapest server monitor you will ever set up.

Push it with one request

A source is created automatically the first time you push to it, so there is no setup step. Send your server CPU usage like this:

• The value is a plain string, so format it however reads best: "$8,420", "99.98%", "+58".
• icon is an SF Symbol name. Here we use cpu.fill.
• Push to the same source_key again any time and the widget updates in place.

Add it to your iPhone

1. Sign up free and copy your WRITE key from the dashboard.
2. Install the WidgetDash iOS app (free on the App Store) and connect with the dashboard QR code or your READ key.
3. Long-press the Home Screen, tap +, search WidgetDash, pick a size, then choose this source.

Small Lock Screen widgets are supported too, so your server CPU usage can sit right under the clock.
